Back on Track!

Many changes in the last week to let you know about my non-blogging time!

I had really better days in my life when I think about the first two days after my last post; -yes, as you can imagine- we lost Bleu… He was not my first pet that shared its life journey with me so I was prepared for those blue¬†days actually -having blue days for Bleu, ironic, no?-…

When I lose a pet, whatever the size and type of it, I continuously ask myself if I did everything that was needed on the last days, and if I could prevent this sad end by doing something different before… This being not sure whether you helped that little life and at the very same time being very sure about it, going and coming back with that giant size question mark on your mind thing is, hitting me bad whenever I lose a pet… I’m sure there are many other pet-owners like me having the same disturbing feeling, and yet it’s not over, then the other giant size question mark takes its place, what will you do with the little dead body…

I don’t know how you’ll react when you read this now but can you believe, Bleu is still with us?! He’s sleeping on a small white towel in our freezer! Don’t worry, as soon as we know we’re still mentally normal but we just couldn’t decide if we should let him sleep in the garden or in Sava river or in one of our flower pots… All these ideas came out from me and all were liked by my husband, but at the end we decided to have the last option. He may always stay close to us with this choice! -Now you may be asking, if you crazy couple have finally decided what to do with your dead fish, why are you still keeping him in the cold area?- Very soon, today or latest tomorrow we will have our little ceremony, unfortunately we couldn’t find time to make it together due to my husband’s quite busy working schedule…

Now it’s time to give the other news… Ladies and gentlemen, this blogger of yours who was a smoker for the last 15 years has decided to continue her life smoke free last Saturday and she’s making a great work since then! I know it’s an important milestone but I didn’t want to give the first place for this topic, as I don’t want to let myself think that it’s something very big and I’m giving out something from myself… I’ll only crave for a puff if I have that style of thinking so I just want to see this quitting topic as a very normal event in my life… Believe me it works, of course you say to yourself as an ex-smoker; “Hey! Look how great you are, what a big thing you’re doing!”, but I’ll tell you direct, this funny motivation you create to yourself may easily turn back to you as a craving… Because you’re then actually calling for it by saying to your mind that this is a very big thing that you need to stand, and it is not like that at all when you see this decision of quitting very normal. You just have to see what you do normally when you need or want something… We drink water when we’re thirsty; we eat when we’re hungry; we go to bed when we’re sleepy, and we stop drinking, eating, sleeping when we don’t want or don’t need anymore… I honestly don’t want and don’t need cigarettes anymore, so why should I continue smoking then?

Another news is about the transportation system in Belgrade… Now we have a new card system that you can use in the city which is actually very good, because I was really getting annoyed with the old system’s not working ticket hole machines… I can hear you saying “what the hell is a ticket hole machine?” Here we go…

The annoying, old, not used anymore ticket hole machine is the one on left below… Before the magnetic bus card we started to use currently, you had to put your bus-tram ticket into that funny machine, pull the black upper part towards yourself -and actually it’s the annoying part-, make holes on your ticket and keep your proof that you paid to travel on that bus-tram until you get off… Why it was annoying that you could often find one or even two machines which were already out of order, you push but nothing happens stuff in a packed tram… ¬†Then you had to decide if you want to give it another try or you take the risk of travelling free thinking the controller will not visit your tram… I’m sure it would have been more relaxed if I could speak Serbian, can you think of a scene, where you have the controller who doesn’t understand you and thinking that you may be one those free travellers… Not a scene that I would want to have in my life!

The photo in the middle is not connected to the transportation system at all, I just put that it may make you smile like it made to me when I first saw it… Yes, it’s still snowing here and yes, you may easily find naughty Serbian people! Enjoy your weekend!
